Our School
Welcome to Gwynne Park Education Support Centre
Dear Families,
Gwynne Park Education Support Centre (ESC) is proud to be an Independent Public School. Opened in 1991, we share a campus with Gwynne Park Primary School in the suburb of Brookdale under the City of Armadale precinct. Our custom-made facilities are responsive to every need and our staff take pride in the development of each child, as well as their own ongoing learning. We have small class sizes and high staff to student ratios which may differ class to class, dependent on our students’ needs. Our enrolments have continued to increase each year in recognition of our growing community and the quality of education provided by our school.
Each of our learning programs are based upon the needs of each child. Every one of our students has their own Individual Education Plan (IEP) which is developed in collaboration with parents / caregivers, teachers, education assistants and outside agencies. The IEP specifies each students’ current goals and how these goals and outcomes will be learned. Goals are reviewed formally twice a year to inform progress, achievement and areas for future learning as documented in each child’s end of semester report. The role of family in the development of each child is recognised as integral in our school.
On behalf of our team, I welcome all students and families to Gwynne Park Education Support Centre. We are a proud public school and prioritise celebrating each of our children’s achievements and abilities each day. We are continually honoured to be the school of choice for so many families, year after year - and look forward to extending our warm welcome for you and your family one day.
Kind regards
Natasha Naylor
